Energy and property specialist Banks Group has appointed Holyrood PR to handle the communications for the company’s developments in Scotland.

The appointment, following a five-way-pitch, will include the proposed Ard Ghaoth Wind Farm near Drymen in Stirlingshire as one of the first projects.

Mark Dowdall, environment and community director of at the Banks Group, said: “Everything we do is centred round our development with care philosophy, so our business depends on open communication and transparency and those were the qualities we looked for in a PR agency.

“The Holyrood PR team is a great fit with our business and impressed us with their knowledge of our sector, as well as the Scottish media landscape.

“We’re proud of our reputation for environmental excellence and have a record of bringing real, financial benefits to the communities we work with. So, with Scotland at the forefront of renewable energy in the UK, we have a compelling story to tell.

“Holyrood PR will give us a distinctive Scottish voice, to help us tell our story and that will give us the most solid foundation for all of our communication and engagement moving forward.”
