Real Radio has signed a deal to become the exclusive media partner for Morrisons' summer food and music festival, MFEST.

The two-day festival takes place in July in Leeds and will feature performances from Matt Cardle, Cher Lloyd and Texas.

The five Real Radio stations will support the event with a programme of on-air and online promotional activity, kicking off with a week-long competition to win tickets.

In return the Real Radio brand will feature prominently at the festival as well as in Morrisons stores in locations across the country and in marketing literature prior to the event.

Sister GMG Radio-owned national station Smooth Radio will also support the event with on-air promotional trails in the run up to the festival.

Jonathan Gillespie, commercial director at GMG Radio, said: "Sister GMG Radio owned national station Smooth Radio will also support the event with on-air promotional trails in the run up to the festival.

The deal was brokered by MEC Access’s Amanda Winch and Nathan Bennett from GMG Radio’s Creative Solutions team.
