DC’s World comedy shorts created by Aardman Animations
Aardman Animations has created a series of comedy shorts ‘DC’s World’s Funnest’ with Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment.
Based on DC Comics characters, the shorts will form part of DC Nation, an hour of comic shorts which will premiere on Cartoon Network this Saturday, at 10am ET and PT.
Traditional clay animation techniques were used, along with backgrounds and environments inspired by the original DC artwork. The characters for the ten one-minute sketches were voiced by children.
Director Rich Webber, who works on Shaun the Sheep, said: “It was a dream job to direct, it’s not often you get to mess about with such iconic superhero characters!”
