Duck Tape is returning to TV screens for the first time in nearly 10 years with a new ad created by The Sharp Agency.

The TV ad targets everyday DIY-ers and families with a range of suggestions of how to use the versatile tape, and demonstrates some of the thousands of uses the tape has by showing it “repair, create and fix” around the home.

Having relaunched in the UK two years ago, the US brand is now stocked in major retailers such as B&Q, Screwfix and Homebase.

Alan Murray, head of marketing at Shurtape UK, said: "The TV ad aims to differentiate Duck Tape from other, more generic, products by communicating its versatility, ease of use, and reliability."

The ad campaign launches this week on channels including Daybreak, ITV (HTV and West Country), SKY and Channel 4.
