Indian based marketing company The Basil Group has acquired Fourninety from MSQ Partners.

The design and production agency, which has offices in Leeds, Milton Keynes, Bangalore and London, was one of the agencies taken across to MSQ Partners upon the closure of parent company Media Square at the end of 2011.

The acquisition has been conducted by Basil Group, which aims to grow its global presence.

Ahead of the acquisition, Basil had a workforce of 70, and has stated its intention to use acquisition through a private equity fund to strengthen its client offering.

Ramesh Krishnamurthy, managing director of the Basil Group, said: “Fourninety represents an excellent acquisition for us. It brings together a team of people with the same passion for thinking and creativity, enabling us to work closely with our clients to develop solutions that really work for them. Our vision is to create a global network that delivers across all media platforms, efficiently and cost effectively.”
