Orange has unveiled its latest Gold Spot cinema ad, created by Fallon, featuring the ‘Movie News’ team visiting a movie theatre in the United States to meet the Orange Phone Guards.

These ‘Talk and Text Enforcers’ try to make sure no-one ruins a film by taking away everyone’s phone, carrying out searches of popcorn tubs and making dogs search the cinema.

Spencer McHugh, director of brand for Orange UK, said: “To date the success and popularity of our Gold Spot ads has been built on entertaining movie-goers while encouraging them to wonder what is coming next.

“So we’re really excited to share the latest Gold Spot creative with UK cinema goers, and hope that it encourages them to switch off their phones to make the most of the movie.”

The ad will be aired in digital cinemas from today, and in others from 2 March.
