McCann Bristol has appointed Strange and Dawson founder, Andy Reid, as its new managing director.

Reid, who was MD at Bristol-based Strange and Dawson, replaces Fraser Bradshaw who left McCanns earlier this month.

He said of his new role: “My aim is to reinvigorate the McCann brand in the region, by taking the best in class globally and bringing them to our clients. It promises to be an exciting opportunity for growth and I’m really looking forward to being part of it.”

Under Reid's tenure 'acquisition agency' Strange and Dawson grew to 60 staff and picked up clients including Google, Shell, Budweiser, Stella Artois and the BBC.

Dean Lovett, CEO of McCann Birmingham and Bristol, said: "Andy Reid has an impressive track record, coupled with great energy and drive to move the agency forward.

"We are really pleased to welcome him to McCanns and look forward to putting his ambitions for McCann Bristol into motion.”
