BBC News app for Android tablets launches
BBC has unveiled a news app for Android tablets, following the introduction last year of the BBC News app for Android smartphones.
It has been said that 7.1-inch tablets will continue to receive the app for the smartphone.
James Montgomery, digital and technology controller at BBC Global News, said the BBC is “committed to bringing the depth of BBC News journalism to users wherever and whenever they choose to consume it.”
Features of the new app will include being able to share stories and listen to the BBC World Service live.
