Out of home communications specialist Urban Storm has merged with out of home printing company Prismaflex UK.

Urban Storm, established in 2001 by founder Sam Cook will join forces with Prismaflex UK, operating since 1988 and run by managing director Tom Weaver, to grow their influence upon the out of home sector, including an offer that includes digital LED screens and the Storm-Flex posting system.

Cook commented; "We decided to merge Urban Storm and Prismaflex UK because of the combined proprietary out of home products along with the two printing locations now under one roof creates a truly leading visual innovation and printing company in the UK.

"We already have a strong position in UK out of home printing and installations where we currently work for CBS Outdoor, Clear Channel, Outdoor Plus and Primesight amongst others. Our aim is to build on this as well as expanding into new areas with our newly combined expertise and capacity.

"With eight super-wide digital printers in the UK alone we now have the capacity to print five million sqm. per year. We see huge opportunities to expand our business in the retail sector, with display products both inside and outside stores; exciting point of sale displays, internal wall graphics, LED TV displays and banner systems."
