Manchester online marketing agency I-COM says it is on the acquisition trail after revealing that its current financial year will be its most successful to date.

It claims PR, traditional marketing and design agencies are on its radar.

In the nine months to December 2011, I-COM reported managing client budgets of nearly £1.7m, an increase of 15 per cent on the same period in 2010.

By the financial year end its current forecasts are that total annual client spend will have reached £2.3m.

In a statement the agency said it is "now actively seeking acquisition targets" as it looks to further increase its growth.

Operations director Mike Blackburn said: "The business is committed to growth, seeing opportunity for strong players in what is a fragmented market.

"And the financial performance of the business is now allowing us to consider inorganic options."

Established in 2005, I-Com employs 34 staff and works with clients including JMW Solicitors, Magnus Properties, Dandara, Barneys, William James and Advance Recruitment.
