News International Ireland general manager Keenaghan's remit extended to oversee News International Scotland

Oliver Keenaghan has been appointed as general manager of News International Scotland, extending his remit as general manager of News International Ireland on a temporary basis.

Keenaghan joined News International to head up its Irish operation in December 2007, having previously held the role of general manager of Associated Newspapers in Ireland.

A spokesperson for News International confirmed to The Drum that he would continue to run the Irish operation, while succeeding David Dinsmore in running the Scottish base for an interm period.

Dinsmore told The Drum that he will continue to oversee Scotland once his secondment in London is over.

Dinsmore moved from Glasgow to London to take up the role of managing editor of The Sun on a temporary basis.
