el jimador tequila hands marketing brief to Brave

Premium tequila brand el jimador has appointed Brave to undertake its integrated marketing plan for 2012.

The appointment, following a four-way-pitch, will run from mid-2012, with a focus on the delivery of an authentic consumer experience for el jimador, which will be led by senior brand manager Charlotte Ashburner.

Peter Booker, account director for Brave, commented: “We’re delighted to be appointed to el Jimador and excited about attacking the challenges of a unique category. Tequila has seemingly suffered from its consumption occasions becoming anglicised and subsequently consumers have lost touch with how it should be enjoyed. We believe UK consumers not only want an authentic brand, but also an authentic product experience.”
