Mobile based media company Shazam is set to target UK advertisers and has announced the appointment of Miles Lewis, former head of agency sales at Yahoo, UK and Ireland, as its vice president advertising sales for the UK and Europe.

Lewis will be tasked with expanding advertising opportunities for the Shazam App, and target UK advertisers to make their TV adverts Shazam-enabled.

He joins from CBSi Music’s Last.FM where he held the position of senior vice president.

Shazam technology was enabled during recent Super Bowl adverts, with companies such as Procter and Gamble, Unilever, Pepsi, Honda and 20th Century Fox all utilising its possibilities.
