ESPN unveils new FA Cup advert

ESPN is launching the latest phase of its FA Cup campaign ahead of its coverage of the competition's fifth round this weekend.

The latest outdoor ad, produced by BDA Creative, is the second in a series of four executions that the broadcaster is rolling out during the competition.

It shows a man so obsessed with the cup that he has re-tiled his bathroom in the style of the trophy much to the chagrin of his partner.

Mike McKibbin, group marketing director for ESPN Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "Sports fans aren’t passive viewers. We understand that and want to connect with fans through this campaign.

"We aim to demonstrate our understanding of the FA Cup, its unique appeal and fans’ passion towards it.”
