Richard Lefkowitz has been appointed connections planning director at Gyro North America.

The newly-created position means Lefkowitz will help shape Gyro’s media efforts throughout North America, working hand-in-hand with its business team and serving as a bridge to outside media partners.

Previously Cossette Post Communications’ managing director for 13 years, and associate media director at TBWA, Lefkowitz has helped shape brands such as Absolut Vodka and AOL.

Christoph Becker, chief executive of Gyro, said: “Media is front and center in the creative process. Rich has decades of experience working with iconic brands and understands how to maneuver within the ever-changing media channels. He is an important addition to gyro and our mission to deliver humanly relevant ideas.”

Lefkowitz said, “There are very few times in your career where you get to join an agency that is growing or in gyro’s case exploding. Gyro has a unique culture and an impressive stable of talent. I am looking forward to adding my skills to this already potent mix.”
