Welcome to Yorkshire unveils ‘Discover, Book, Save’ customer promise with Bloom

Welcome to Yorkshire has unveiled a new marketing strategy with Bloom, including the introduction of customer promise ‘Discover, Book, Save’, a membership proposition and media strategy.

The new brand and marketing has been used in the launch of an updated Welcome to Yorkshire website, which was created with a focus on increasing visitor numbers and driving revenue for members.

An itinerary planner, suggestion engine and an improved member area are all features which have been added to the new site, which is developed around a Google maps based ecommerce platform to allow businesses to upload special offers for the public. Since its relaunch there has been £5m of offers on the site.

Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “Yorkshire.com now provides a single destination for anyone wanting to visit the region. This marks a big step forward for Welcome to Yorkshire’s digital strategy and supports our focus to deliver value to our members and most importantly delivering value to visitors to this great county. Yorkshire.com is now the only place on the internet where tourists can discover, book and save on everything they need to have a fantastic time in Yorkshire.”

Alex Craven, managing director at Bloom, added: “Everyone at Bloom worked hard to deliver this project. It combines great insight with real innovation, great creative and speaks volumes of how we work.”
