Apple are letting their iPhone 4S speak for itself in their latest promotional campaign - by illustrating the flexibility of the phone’s built in voice assistant, Siri.

Using a road trip across America as a testing ground Apple demonstrate how the technology can be used for everything from finding the nearest petrol station to a nice local restaurant for a bite to eat.

Apple’s pioneering voice recognition technology has won plaudits for the natural way in which it interprets speech, with it responding to simple questions such as “What is the best way to Santa Cruz?”

The technology is still far from perfect however with Siri frequently getting muddled, prompting Apple to shy away from shouting about the feature too loudly when the 4S was launched.
