The 2010/2011 Annual Review for EventScotland has been designed by APS Group Scotland.

The organization, which aims to drive tourism and develop Scotland’s international profile, chose ‘Setting the Pace’ as its theme for this year’s publication, in a bid to reflect a busy year for EventScotland.

APS Group Scotland explained that it responded to the brief by devising ‘a linear design’ which comprised of ‘a vibrant colour palette that flows throughout the review’ which would aim to create a sense of energy and movement.

The agency also made a conscious effort to offer a focus on cultural events to coincide with the launch of the Year of Creative Scotland with the cover image taken at the Hebridean Celtic Festival, one of many events being held in Scotland.

“EventScotland wanted to move away from the more corporate visuals and feel adopted across recent reviews,” explained Mike Lynch, creative client services director of APS Group Scotland. “They encouraged us to use a freer style which reflects the innovative, fun and enjoyable aspect of events while demonstrating their impact on the Scottish economy.”
