Lavazza appoints MEC as new media agency

Italian coffee specialists Lavazza have announced that they have selected MEC to act as their new media agency.

MEC, a founding partner of WPP’s GroupM, were selcted for their global clout and will be tasked with speeding up a process of internationalisation at Lavazza

The move will see MEC oversee Lavazza’s media relations both in Italy and internationally with effect from May 2012.

Incumbents Media Italia will retain the business until then.
