Two Cultural Olympiad event wins for design agency Eskimo Creative

Eskimo Creative has been appointed by Essex County Council, Cheshire Dance and Walk the Plank as lead design agency for two London 2012 Festival and Cultural Olympiad events.

For the first event, Sparks Will Fly, Eskimo Creative won a six-way pitch to work with Essex County Council and Chelmsford Borough Council in partnership with outdoor arts performance specialists Walk the Plank. Eskimo will to responsible for creating the campaign’s visual identity and guidelines, plus design all digital and print marketing materials, including the website.

Supported by Arts Council England, Sparks Will Fly is a countywide series of 15 events across May, June and July this year that will engage with up to 175,000 people, climaxing in an outdoor finale of fireworks, special effects and performance, to coincide with the Olympic Torch’s arrival in Chelmsford. The campaign will go live at the end of February, to promote the events beginning 18 May.

Eskimo Creative also won the contract to create the campaign identity and marketing materials for The Moment When… three unique, outdoor performance projects produced by Cheshire Dance and Walk the Plank.

The campaign will go live across Cheshire and Warrington and the North West from 10 February with the main events beginning in Chester on 29 May.

Eskimo has been tasked with creating the campaign’s visual identity; designing digital and print marketing materials, including project website; and producing a brand toolkit of creative elements to enable partners and stakeholders to promote and market The Moment When…
