Nimble Jack, the agency formed early last year following the merger of London based ST&MP and Chester based The Other Agency, has announced it is to return to being two separate agencies with the London office retaining the Nimble Jack name and the Chester office reverting back to The Other Agency.

Nimble Jack chairman David Reid explained the thinking behind the move, saying: “Running two distinct offices under one company ethos proved to be less popular than we envisaged with clients. Not because of our proposition but because valuable resource was too often on the road travelling and for a small, tight knit unit we felt it best to throw up our hands and admit it wasn’t working as well as it might have.”

The Other Agency will continue under the stewardship of MD Saul Peake whilst the existing London team will continue with the same management structure previously in place.

Commenting on the decision Peake said: “At the end of the day this is about giving our clients the service and dedication they expect and deserve. Although our duality of location was valuable to some clients, the majority of our new business targets were interested in having localised efficiencies in place which the two centre offering, was to an extent, hampering. Logistically this decision will make more sense for both business and our clients and thanks to the excellent pre-nuptial agreement that was in place, the separation has been relatively painless.”

Neither agency holds shares in the other.
