Sky has revealed plans to make the BBC iPlayer and ITV Player available to watch through its video-on-demand service Sky Anytime+.

The Sky catch-up service was previously only available to customers who had taken a Sky broadband package, but it will now be available for free to Sky subscribers with any broadband connection.

As part of the revamp ITV Player will join the service from tomorrow and iPlayer from Easter.

The changes mean Sky Anytime+ will now be available to as many as five million homes as apposed to around one million previously.
