Nationwide is to continue its ‘On Your Side’ campaign next month, focussing on first time buyers.

The building society will from 6 February until 3 March run a campaign promoting its Save to Buy product; the first time in five years it has run a campaign on its mortgage offering.

Created by 18 Feet & Rising, the national TV ad will be based on the magical carousel ad and features the homecoming family and the children with jetpacks which launched last September.

Andy McQueen, Nationwide’s marketing director, said: “Getting that first step onto the housing ladder can be daunting, from saving the money for a deposit to understanding the process, jargon and timings.

“That’s why we have put together a guide for people buying their first house and we offer a wide range of mortgages. In fact, only last year we lent £1.2bn to 10,000 first time buyers.

“With the New Year underway and people starting to think about their plans this campaign will highlight how Nationwide is firmly ‘On Your Side’ when it comes to buying your first home.”
