McDonald’s tries again with #LittleThings hashtag

Despite not having a great response the last time that it launched a Twitter hashtag campaign, with #McDstories leading to more gut-wrenching tales than happy memories, the fast food giant is trying again with #LittleThings.

Launching last night, the new campaign asks the public to name the things that bring them joy, with McDonald’s own suggestions including ‘No line at the bank, a large tax refund, & those extra fries at the bottom of the bag.’

So far responses have includes ‘Telling jokes with nieces & nephews’ and ‘When the sun shines’.

However, the chain may face another problem: DoubleTree by Hilton is already running a Promoted Tweet campaign using the same hashtag.
