Aintree Racecourse saddles up with MC2 for Grand National PR

Aintree Racecourse has appointed MC2 to handle PR for the 2012 John Smith's Grand National meetings.

MC2 will plan PR activity including stunts, social media and photo calls for Ladies Day, Liverpool Day and the Grand National itself.

"We’ll be involved in raising awareness for all aspects of the John Smith’s Grand National, from the style of Ladies Day to the spirit of Liverpool Day, and have some great creative ideas ready to put in to practice," said Martha Goodfellow, director of the consumer team at MC2.

Emma Owen, marketing and PR manager at Aintree, added: “We wanted to get some fresh ideas for the meeting this year and MC2 have come up with some great ways to boost the awareness."
