Jim Kelly, head of planning at Story, has been promoted to deputy managing director of the Edinburgh agency.

While continuing with his responsibilities as head of planning, Kelly will also be handed a focus on identifying and developing the skills that the agency’s clients need, within the agency and enhancing efficiency and processes that the agency adopts.

He will also work with managing director Sue Mullen to oversee the day-to-day running of the agency, allowing Mullen more of a client focus.

Sue Mullen, commented: “Now, more than ever, is the time to look to the future and plan ahead so that we are able to meet the changing needs of our clients and respond to these quickly. We aim to give our clients’ outstanding customer service as well as providing the highest level of strategic and creative flair. Jim will play a crucial role in ensuring we have the skills in place at the right time to allow us to do this.”

Kelly, who has been at the agency for seven years, is already a member of the board.
