‘Celebrate the Movies’ Oscars campaign launched

The Academy Awards have today launched a digital campaign entitled ‘Celebrate the Movies’ to remind moviegoers of the most iconic film moments.

Digital representations of key scenes, pulled from classics such as 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Godfather, will be displayed online and on digital billboards in New York and Los Angeles.

Encompassing 84 films from every Oscar year since the awards inception the campaign has been created to add buzz around a nominations announcement planned for tomorrow.

The campaign marks a growing trend amongst award shows to become more social by facilitating the sharing of viewers favourite movie experiences via social media.
