Elizabeth Lloyd, head of communications for the Scottish National Party (SNP) is to depart for a role in the Scottish Government.

Lloyd, formerly advisor to Jim Mather MSP and Alyn Smith MEP, has been with the party since 2003, and held her current role since 2007.

At the time of writing it was not known what her new role within the Government would be.

The SNP is now advertising for a successor as head of communications and research office, working alongside the party’s 68 MSPs and a central press office.
