Martin Greig, senior BBC business journalist, is to join Porta Communications agency Newgate Public Relations.
Greig, who has held the role of senior business new producer for 11 years at the BBC, will join the agency in March, having also edited BBC Radio 5-Live’s Wake Up to Money Programme, as well as a range of others.
Jonathan Clare, executive chairman of Newgate PR, said, "Martin is a senior hire and Newgate PR will be making further appointments in the next few months. Our goal is to be one of the leading international public relations consultancies, attracting exceptional and motivated people by offering them outstanding opportunities. Our ability to provide clients with a breadth of counsel spanning capital market communications, corporate reputation building and public policy, and regulatory consultancy from one team is attracting a lot of interest as we can offer senior advice with high standards of service."
Martin Greig added: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining Newgate PR. The opportunity to work alongside some of the industry's most exceptional individuals was one not to be missed. This is a very exciting time for Newgate PR as it embarks on a programme of rapid growth and expansion. I am thrilled to have the chance to be part of that."
