Virgin Media to launch new customer magazine

Virgin Media is working with content agency Redwood to launch its new customer magazine this month.

The new Virgin Media Magazine

The launch edition will make considerable use of augmented reality technology, giving readers access to exclusive video content if they use the Blippar app.

This extra content will include a guided tour of the magazine from Richard Branson as well as games, film trailers and TV clips.

The bi-monthly magazine will be distributed to around 500,000 customers. Its aim is to promote Virgin Media's range of entertainment, broadband and mobile phone services.

Sara Cremer, group editorial director at Redwood, said: "Working with a brand like Virgin Media presents an opportunity to push the boundaries of what’s possible and we have truly delivered on this project with an industry first in-magazine augmented reality app. We are confident that customers will relish the experience provided by the magazine."
