Trinity Mirror is to work with London technology start-up company Rummble Labs to deliver personalised online content across the company’s national news and entertainment sites.

Rummble Labs has been tasked with integrating its Recommendation Engine technology across both MirrorOnline, 3am and MirrorFootball with the aim or providing better targeted content, which will see the introduction of core ‘headline’ stories alongside bespoke content.

Trinity Mirror will be able to compile activity data as a result, which it will combine with social data insight from Facebook to provide content and product recommendation.

Chris Ellis, managing director of Trinity Mirror's Digital, Nationals Division, said: “Partnering with digital start-ups like Rummble Labs allows us to deploy and experiment with the latest and most innovative technologies available.

“The Recommendation Engine will provide highly-personalised content for our users and will drive engagement and page views across our news, entertainment and sports sites.”
