Former BBC and ITV presenter Peter Rowell admits sexual assault charges

Former BBC and ITV presenter Peter Rowell has confessed to a number of sexual assaults on teenage girls, as well as possessing and making indecent images of children.

Rowell: pleaded guilty

The Telegraph reports that the former presenter on BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Somerset pleaded guilty to the charges including 12 counts of indecent assault on girls under the age of 16 between 1989 and the early 1990’s, while appearing at Bristol Crown Court.

Rowell, who was a newsreader for ITV West for over a decade, also pleaded guilty to the possession of 464 indecent images.
