Key 103's Sam Walker to head up Real Radio Breakfast Show
Real Radio North West has signed up Key 103's Sam Walker to front its new Breakfast Show team.
Walker will join co-presenters Lorna Bancroft and Oli Kemp on the new-look breakfast team from Monday 2 April.
She takes over from previous hosts David 'Ditchy' Ditchfield and Paul 'Salty' Salt who were dumped out of Real's flagship slot at the end of last year.
"So often female presenters at breakfast time are consigned to supporting roles so it’s fantastic that Real Radio are creating a team where women are placed front and centre," Walker said.
"The team at Real are fantastic and I can’t wait to join in the fun at breakfast with Lorna and Oli."
Walker, who moved to the North West in 2004 to present for XFM and BBC Radio Manchester, will continue to host BBC Radio 5Live's discussion programme Double Take.
