Elisabeth Murdoch to give MacTaggart speech at Edinburgh Television Festival
It has been revealed that Elisabeth Murdoch, founder of the Shine production company, will be giving this year’s MacTaggart lecture at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival.
Last year, the speech was given by Google chairman Eric Schmidt.
Elisabeth Murdoch follows in the footsteps of her brother, James, who gave the lecture in 2009. She had pulled out of a speaking role in the Festival last year, over fears that the phone hacking scandal would overshadow her discussion.
