Al Jazeera presenter Richard Gizbert to give the 10th Maggie Nally Memorial Lecture
Richard Gizbert, presenter of Al Jazeera's weekly media programme, Listening Post, is to give the 10th Maggie Nally Memorial Lecture on 19 January.
Organised by the CIPR, the lecture is held in memory of Maggie Nally, the CIPR's first female president and a leading public relations figure of her time. The co-founder of CIPR's Greater London Group, she served on the CIPR International group and was awarded the Sir Stephen Tallents Medal in 1987.
Gizbert, who has been with Al Jazeera English since its inception in 2006, will be speaking about Western perceptions of Al Jazeera and media coverage of the Arab Spring.
The free lecture will be held in the House of Commons and followed by a buffet supper in the Cholmondeley Room and Terrace in the House of Lords.
