The Haven has appointed Clearsilver to handle its national PR brief, following successful work for the breast cancer support charity in Yorkshire.

The agency, which has worked with The Haven since 2009 on a pro-bono basis, was asked to pitch for the national brief alongside four other agencies, with the brief including PR and media relations activities as well as supporting major fundraising drives for the charity, which has branches in London, Leeds and Hereford.

Hannah Daws, head of marketing and communications for The Haven, said: “Clearsilver pulled out all the stops for their pitch. As well as presenting some great ideas, they delivered robust research, real enthusiasm and a deep understanding of what The Haven symbolises to us and its Visitors.”

Louise Leach, Clearsilver’s managing director, added: “The team at Clearsilver are passionate about the work that we do with The Haven so we are delighted that we are now able to take our communications for the charity nationally as well as regionally.”
