Owen Mumford appoints sales and marketing director

Medical supplies company Owen Mumford has appointed Richard Thomas as sales and marketing director.

Thomas was previously based in the US with Smiths Medical, where he held the post of vice president for business integration with a specific remit for China.

Before that he was vice president of US and Latin America sales, vice president of global diabetes and marketing director for Smiths Medical International.

Jarl Severn, managing director of Owen Mumford, said: "Richard has the expertise to significantly develop our sales and marketing, helping to put Owen Mumford in an even stronger position within this highly competitive medical sector during challenging economic times."

Thomas succeeds Adam Mumford, who is leaving the post to assume the role of chairman of Owen Mumford Holdings, previously held by his father John.
