Pressat, a joint project funded by ATMEDIA.co and developed by graduates from the University of Salford, has launched with the aim of helping small businesses increase their online visibility across search engines.

The platform, which also aims to help small businesses harness the power of social media networks, allows users to distribute news with a range of add-ons including videos, images and QR-Codes. The objective of this is to allow visitors to dynamically interact with releases.

ATMEDIA said: “With the ever growing power of social media platforms, breaking news can now spread globally across the web within a matter of seconds. This shift in emphasis from traditional news channels, such as newspapers, allows businesses to communicate quickly and directly with their target audiences.”

Pressat also offers a free collaborative enquiries system to allow journalists to interact directly with PR agencies and experts within specific sectors.

This month, to promote the launch, ATMEDIA is providing a free press release distribution option, so businesses, PR companies and advertising agencies within the UK can try out the news platform using the code PRESS99.
