Guinness 'Christmas gift' poster campaign created by AMV BBDO

AMV BBDO has created a poster campaign for Guinness, riffing on the difficulty of finding suitable festive gifts for men.

The posters – using the tagline ‘what every man really wants this Christmas’ - show traditional male presents such as an electric razor and bottle of aftershave given a black and white Guinness makeover to resemble pints of stout.

Part of the larger ‘I’m dreaming of a black and white Christmas’ campaign, the posters follow hot on the heels of Guinness’ popular augmented reality app that lets users decorate their pint.

Commenting on the campaign, Nick Britton, senior brand manager Guinness Western Europe said: “Men are notoriously hard to buy for and often receive gifts they don’t really want, when in many instances they would prefer the simple present of a pint of Guinness.”
