AG Barr has appointed Stripe to handle the PR account for Irn-Bru, as well as its corporate communications.

Stripe takes over the account without a pitch from long serving PR agency Burt Greener, and will handle consumer PR for Irn-Bru as well AG Barr’s corporate PR, beginning in January.

Adrian Troy, head of marketing for AG Barr, told The Drum that the decision was taken due to ‘obvious synergies’ with the agency, which is part of the Cello Group, which also owns the client’s appointed digital agency Blonde and advertising agency, The Leith Agency.

He added that the agency would work on promoting ‘the major plans’ for Irn-Bru next year.
