Manchester digital agency Cahoona has been appointed to create a new website and brand identity for England cricketer James Anderson, who is celebrating his testimonial year in 2012.

The Lancashire bowler will be using his testimonial year to raise funds for charities Nordoff Robbins, Chance to Shine and Activate Sports through a series of events, dinners and matches.

The website, set up to help Anderson raise funds for these causes, will go live at jamesanderson613.com in January. 613 is Anderson's unique England cricket number.

Cahoona director Ben Holden said: "We’ll be providing a brand identity for James’s benefit year as well as a highly original, modern and interactive website.

"We’ve been playing with the statistical nature of cricket, bringing it to life with cutting edge technology and beautiful infographics to create a site that really stands out."
