Glue Isobar has created an intriguing christmas campaign on behalf of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

A YouTube video posted on Monday shows Santa being kidnapped by the ‘Mean Greenies’ before he is able to deliver presents to the kids in Great Ormond Street. Viewers are directed to follow @MeanGreenies where the kidnappers post regular updates about Santa’s whereabouts.

The first person to tweet the location of the MeanGreenies hideout correctly, using the #savesanta hashtag, wins a prize. All aspects of the campaign, including photos, are being collated on a dedicated tumblr blog.

Glue Isobar is giving nothing away about where the campaign is headed – although back in the direction of Great Ormond Street would be a fair guess – or what reward eventually awaits the hospital’s children.

The campaign is a great example of how to use tie-in different social channels to create an engaging narrative.
