Budweiser is encouraging drinkers to 'Designate a Driver' in TV and radio ads running until the end of December.

The TV spot shows a group of friends having fun at a range of social events and ends with the line 'Designate a driver and enjoy the good times'.

The 30 and 60 second radio ads feature a Bud 'coach' giving a rousing team talk ahead of a night out, stressing the importance of nominating someone to drive.

The ads have been created by an Anomaly with Vizeum handling media buying.

Iain Newell, Budweiser's Western European marketing director, said: "As a leading brand, we have the opportunity – but also the responsibility – to talk to consumers about responsible drinking."
