WPP 's Cohn & Wolfe takes majority stakeholding in XPR
WPP owned PR group Cohn & Wolfe has agreed to take a majority stake in Southeast Asian outfit XPR.
XPR is one of the largest independent public relations and digital communications agencies in the region, with offices in Signapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, founded just two years ago.
It currently employs 28 people, working with clients such as Groupon, SingTel, BMW Asia, Salesforce.com and Motorola Mobility.
The agency’s unaudited revenue for last year was S$1.4 million, with gross assets at the same date of approximately S$600,000.
The news follows yesterday's announcement of WPP's acquisition of the majority stake in Hong Kong based independent healthcare PR agency Mind Resource.
