Glenn Mulcaire arrested as part of phone hacking investigation

Reports claim that private investigator Glenn Mulcaire has been arrested again as part of the phone hacking inquiry.

According to The Daily Mail, Mulcaire, who has already served a six-month jail term over instances of phone hacking while employed by the News of the World, was arrested this morning as part of Operation Weeting.

A police spokesperson has said that a 41-year-old man was detained on suspicion of conspiring to intercept voicemail messages.

This will be the 18th arrest as part of the investigation.
