Direct Marketing Association appoints first director of communications
The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) has announced the appointment of Rachel Aldighieri as its first director of communications and insight.
Aldighieri, who joined the DMA as PR manager in 2006, will be responsible for developing the DMA’s marketing communications, events, research and working with the professional body’s 15 industry sector councils.
Chris Combemale, executive director of the DMA, said: “Rachel demonstrated outstanding leadership and vision in her role leading critical projects, such as the DMA rebranding and website projects. I’m confident Rachel will provide inspirational leadership in her new challenge to continually develop the service we offer to our members and the wider direct marketing community.”
The appointment forms part of the DMA’s strategic plan to enhance its communications with its corporate members and engage with a broader field of the direct marketing industry’s sectors. The new department will now focus on expanding the DMA’s range of content across its online platforms and industry events.
