SocialSavers, a new platform that allows brands to give their consumers a discount for sharing their purchases on Facebook and Twitter, has launched with G&T and Pixel Vector.

Ten brands have signed up for the website so far, which was built by Pixel Vector, which provides an instant discount code for consumers who recommend a brand through their social networks.

Advertising agency G&T created the marketing/business planning support for the platform, which it is also launching for founder Jonathan Yates.

Yates, who also wrote ‘Freesourcing: How to build a business with no money’, said: “Whatever happened to ‘Thank You’?

“Consumers these days are totally aware of the value they bring to brands by making referrals, so we thought it would be nice if we could find a way for brands to thank them every time they do. It would strengthen brand / consumer relationships and increase customer retention and acquisition rates for the brand too.”
