WPP has made a minority investment into computer software company Lumi Technologies.

The international marketing services group has announced that it has taken a minority equity stake in the business which employs 27 people across its offices in London, New York and Finland.

The company, founded in 2008 by Rolfe Swinton, Mark Beilby, Marcus Wikars and Magnus Holtlund, works with clients such as EMI, Endemol, Channel 4 and Mediaset.

The investment is the latest step in WPP’s strategy to invest in early stage ventures within growing markets.
