A Hollywood interpretation of the life and times of former Apple supremo Steve Jobs is on the cards after it emerged that Sony Pictures had approached Aaron Sorkin, writer of The Social Network, to produce a script.

Sorkin is said to be “strongly considering” the plan, confirming in an interview with E! Online that: “It's a really big movie and it's going to be a great movie no matter who writes it."

In the meantime Sorkin has taken to leafing through Walter Isaacson’s official biography for research as he mulls how to follow up his profile Facebook head Mark Zuckerberg.

Sony Pictures are said to be keen for George Clooney to take on the title role.
