Liverpool FC takes part in Soccer Prince reality TV show
Liverpool FC is taking part in Soccer Prince, a reality TV show which aims to unearth football's next big star in emerging markets around the world.
The show has previously been held in China and Vietnam. This year format owners Kickworldwide and FremantleMedia have teamed up with Turkish production company TVK to broadcast the show live on the country's national channel TRT.
The winner will travel to the UK and spend one year under the guidance of Liverpool FC where they will be taught football and education skills.
Ian Ayre, managing director of Liverpool FC, said: "What we are providing is that once in a lifetime chance to play for Liverpool. People love us because of football and it lets people in other countries see the power of Liverpool Football Club. The key for us is that it is all over different parts of the world and gives thousands of kids a chance.”
